Kurtz Family Vineyards

The Kurtz family has approximately 15 ha of vineyard at Light Pass; 9 ha of shiraz, and the rest is planted to chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, semillon, sauvignon blanc, petit verdot, grenache, mataro and malbec.

Steve Kurtz has followed in the footsteps of Ben Kurtz, his great-grandfather, Ben Kurtz first grew grapes at Light Pass in the 1930s. After a career working first at Saltram and then Foster's until 2006, Steve gained invaluable experience from Nigel Dolan, Caroline Dunn and John Glaetzer and others.

Kurtz Family Vineyards was established in 1996 and produces around 4000 cases annually.
